California Proposition 65 Notice

At Held Performance, we are committed to transparency and compliance with all applicable regulations.

California’s Proposition 65, also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires businesses to provide warnings if their products may expose consumers to certain chemicals that the State of California has identified as potentially causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

What does the warning mean?

The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not mean that a product is unsafe. The warning simply indicates that the product may contain a chemical on California’s list, even if the amount is very small and well below federal safety limits.

  • Many of the substances on the Proposition 65 list occur naturally in the environment and in common foods.

  • Federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) establish safety standards that our products meet or exceed.

  • Proposition 65 uses standards that are often far more stringent than those applied by federal authorities, which is why you may see warnings even when the levels present pose little to no actual risk.

Why is the warning on our products?

We sell and ship products throughout the United States, including California. Because Proposition 65 applies specifically to products sold in California, we provide the required warnings to ensure compliance with state law.

Our commitment

  • All Held Performance products are manufactured in facilities that comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Every product is third-party tested for quality and purity.

  • We provide the Proposition 65 warning where required so that our customers can make informed decisions.
